Break the Cycle: A blueprint for peace.
A participatory group for change makers.
This event revolves around 4 building blocks.
Creating Safety, Building Trust, Shared Humanity and Breaking free.
Creating Safety
Safety, both personal and within the group, will be our primary priority.
Building Trust
We will build and expand on the relative safety in the group.
Shared Humanity
We will explore our experience in a facilitated and creative manner, to develop greater capacity for compassionate, non-judgmental listening.
Breaking free
We learn about a core psychological trait that is part of every person’s psychology and is deeply ingrained at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We develop methods to break the cycle that impacts our families and communities.
The Karpman Drama Triangle was first described by Stephen Karpman in the 1960s. It is a model of dysfunctional social interactions and illustrates a power game that involves three roles: victim, rescuer, and perpetrator. Each role represents a common and ineffective response to conflict.
Understanding and recognising these roles can transform individuals, families, and communities. By identifying one's position in the triangle, individuals gain insight into their habitual responses and the patterns that contribute to conflict. This awareness opens the door to healthier communication, personal growth, and more constructive relationships. Learning to navigate the Drama Triangle equips individuals with the tools to break free from destructive cycles, fostering empathy, and creating a foundation for collaborative problem-solving. Ultimately, this knowledge is instrumental in cultivating resilient, compassionate, and harmonious social dynamics.
